Kelly Berryman
I am a certified postpartum doula, but I have also worked as a nationally certified EMT/paramedic since 2016, along with prior nanny experience. I have BLS (CPR) and ACLS (advanced cardiac life support) certifications along with a bachelor's in biology. I am also a certified Child Passenger Safety technician, which allows me the knowledge to install car seats safely and educate on their use. I have a heart for service and want to provide care to ease and comfort the emotional and physical load, after birth. My goal is to be an extension of you and your desires for your postpartum plan. You will feel respected, heard and cared for with me on your team. If you don't have a postpartum plan, I can help build those expectations. I have a holistic approach to wellness and recovery. In my free time I enjoy traveling, crafting, family time or cuddling with my cats.

What is a Postpartum Doula?
The very traditional role of a postpartum doula is simply a woman serving and supporting a woman after childbirth. Today the role has expanded and includes support for birthing parent and the whole family unit after the birth of a new baby. A postpartum doula typically assists the family for 2-6 weeks after birth. A non-medical supportive figure who aids the family emotionally, physically and logistically. The household has many needs to keep it running smoothly with a newborn, but the most important task is bonding with the baby while recovering. A postpartum doula can alleviate the pressure of the other tasks. By having the extra support present it allows for a more enjoyable, present and relaxed experience. Doulas are not midwives or RNs.
